Hernando, FL pedestrian struck/killed by truck on SR 200 in Hernando
Hernando, Citrus County, Florida - A pedestrian, a 50 year old woman from Hernando, Florida, was struck by a vehicle on Thursday, April 16 and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The crash occurred at 6:25 am, in Hernando, Florida on State Road 200 (N. Carl G. Rose Hwy.), north of East Wagon Trail.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 33 year-old man from Ocala, Florida was driving a pickup truck, traveling south on State Road 200, north of East Wagon Trail, when he came upon the pedestrian walking in the roadway. Although the driver attempted to avoid a collision with the pedestrian, the truck struck the woman, and she perished at the scene of the crash
