Pedestrian, struck by sedan on Levy CR 318, dies at hospital
Williston, Florida - A 78 year-old Williston man died as the result of being struck by a vehicle while walking, Monday evening, March 28, in Williston. The inccident occurred on County Road 318, near NW 142nd Court Road, at 7:00 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 28 year-old woman from Trenton, Florida was driving a sedan, traveling west on CR 318, approaching a hillcrest, at the same the pedestrian was crossing CR 318 in a southerly direction, at the hillcrest, which resulted in the front of the sedan striking the pedestrian. The driver of the sedan pulled over onto the westbound shoulder of the roadway, and the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital by emergency medical services. The pedestrian was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
