Boy, 12, dies in ATV rollover, north of Inglis, passenger receives minor injuries

A 12 year-old boy died, and a 19 year-old boy was injured, as the result of an all terrain vehicle (ATV) crash that occurred at 9:00 pm, Friday night, March 18, north of Inglis, Florida in Levy County. The crash occurred on SE Butler Blvd. at SE Townsend Ave. According to the press release by the Florida Highway Patrol, the ATV overturned, ejecting both occupants. The 12 year-old driver was from Oldsmar, Florida, and his 19 year-old passenger was from New Port Richey, Florida. The driver was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased, and the passenger received minor injuries.
