Caution traveling Levy CR 347 at NW 31st Pl., Chiefland, due to smoke
Levy County, Florida - On Thursday morning, February 17, 2022, about 10:00 am, the FHP issued a Motorist Advisory due to an active 510-acre prescribed burn, just west of NW County Road 347 in the area of NW 31st Place near Chiefland, which could affect travel on County Road 347 due to smoke on the roadways, especially throughout the night and into the morning hours of Friday, February 18. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in the area, as visibility may deteriorate quickly. Motorists are reminded to reduce their speed and utilize low beam headlights in order to adapt to changing weather conditions.
