Status update of defaulted FDOT projects due to bankruptcy of D.A.B. Constructors of Inglis, Florida:


PROJECT T7383 - CITRUS COUNTY
Widening of U.S. 19, from W. Green Acres St. to S. Jump Court, in Homosassa (2.1 miles)
    • It is anticipated the prospective completion contractor will have an executed completion contract with the Surety, the second week of December 2021.  Once this agreement is signed, it is expected work will begin within one week.
    • The Department’s representatives are sampling and tracking turbidity readings at the Pond 4 outfall, as well as sample points at the right-of-way in conjunction with T7407 (the widening of U.S. 19, 4.7 miles, from W. Jump Court in Homosassa to W. Fort Island Trail, in Crystal River).  This week, all the test results are meeting water quality requirements. Currently, no discharge is leaving Pond 4.
    • FDOT Traffic Operations made adjustments to the traffic signal timings by adding additional time to left turn lanes at the intersections, this week, to address public concerns.

PROJECT T7445 - CITRUS COUNTY
Resurfacing of U.S. 19, from the Hernando County Line to W. Green Acres St., in Homosassa (3.8 miles)
    • Notice To Proceed was issued for November 29, 2021, and construction has resumed.
    • Future project updates will be provided at the Department’s website, www.fdottampabay.com.
 
PROJECT T7388 - PASCO COUNTY
Widening of S.R. 54, from Curley Road to Morris Bridge Road, in Zephyrhills (4.5 miles).
    • Western Surety Company and completion contractor Cone & Graham Inc. are continuing to finalize the completion contract.  A pre-construction meeting with the prospective completion contractor, Cone & Graham took place December 1, 2021.  
    • Southern Precision returned Thursday to resume regular mowing and litter removal throughout the project. 
    • Pasco County Traffic has adjusted signal timings and recently updated the intersection monitoring software at the intersection of SR54 & Meadow Pointe to help assist the traffic flow along the SR54 Corridor.

PROJECT T7407 - CITRUS COUNTY
Widening of U.S. 19, from W. Jump Court in Homosassa to W. Fort Island Trail, in Crystal River (4.7 miles)
    • No more weekly updates, as construction has resumed.

PROJECT T7433 - PASCO COUNTY
Widening of S.R. 52, from Suncoast Parkway to U.S. 41, in Land O' Lakes (3.8 miles).
     • No more weekly updates, as construction has resumed.  

PROJECT T7412 - PASCO COUNTY
The Diverging Diamond Interchange ("DDI") on S.R. 56 at I-75 in Wesley Chapel.
    • No more weekly updates, as construction has resumed.  

PROJECT T7402 - HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY
C.R. 580 (Sam Allen Road) from S.R. 39 to Park Road in Plant City (2 miles).
    • No more weekly updates, as construction has resumed.
