Levy County, Florida - A single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred early Friday morning, Nov. 12, at 12:59 am, took the life of a 32 year-old Williston man. The crash occurred on U. S. Highway 27 in East Bronson, Florida, north of the intersection of NE 86th Lane.

According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a black 1999 Ford sports utility vehicle, traveling south on U.S. Highway 27, north of the intersection with NE 86th Lane, when the vehicle veered to the right, off of the roadway onto the west grass shoulder, where it began to rotate counter-clockwise, veering to the southeast, crossing both the south and northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 27 and traveling onto the east grass shoulder, where the driver
counter-steered to the right, which caused the vehicle to rotate clockwise and travel in a southwesterly direction. The vehicle then overturned, ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, from the driver's side (left) window. The vehicle came to rest, facing northeast on the east grass shoulder of U.S. Highway 27, on top of the driver who was pinned underneath the vehicle.

The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene of the crash by Levy County Fire Rescue Paramedic Kenny Maddox.
