Driver near Cedar Key crashes into several trees and flees from crash
Levy County, Florida - According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol, about 3:00 am, early Saturday morning, October 30, a 2020 Jeep Liberty sports utility vehicle (SUV) was traveling north on Levy County Road 345, about 500 feet north of SW 41st Street near Cedar Key, when for unknown reasons, the driver allowed the vehicle to travel off the roadway onto the west grass shoulder where it struck several trees with its front. The driver fled from the scene of the crash in unknown condition. The FHP did not reveal the name of the driver or indicate that the agency knows the identity of the driver.
