PROJECT T7383 - CITRUS COUNTY
U.S. 19 Widening from W. Green Acres St. to S. Jump Court in Homosassa (2.1 miles)
• The Surety is currently evaluating prices received from two potential completion contractors. The Takeover agreement is still outstanding.
• The Department’s representatives are sampling and tracking turbidity readings at the Pond 4 outfall as well as sample points at the right-of-way in conjunction with T7407. This week all the test results are meeting water quality requirements.
• The FDOT is evaluating reprogramming traffic signal controllers to incorporate flashing yellow for left turn signals to address public concerns.
PROJECT T7407 - CITRUS COUNTY
U.S. 19 Widening from W. Jump Court in Homosassa to W. Fort Island Trail in Crystal River (4.7 miles)
• The Surety anticipates the Notice of Intent to the completion contractor to be issued in the next week.
• The Department has made a significant number of improvements to address water quality on the project:
o The desilting treatment tank system at Pond C, installed by the Department’s Contamination and Remediation Contractor (CAR), is continuing to function and clean water is being discharged.
o The surety’s maintenance contractor (SMG) is continuing to maintain existing erosion control features.
o SMG has completed desilting the median ditch bottom inlets and pipes to aid in preventing further siltation at Pond C.
• The Surety’s contractor has continued to regrade temporary median crossovers and driveways as necessary to remove potholes.
PROJECT T7445 - CITRUS COUNTY
U.S. 19 Resurfacing from the Hernando County Line to W. Green Acres St. in Homosassa (3.8 miles)
• The prospective completion contractor, is working to finalize a contract with Western Surety. They are eager to get started on this project and are hoping to have contract finalized and immediately begin mobilization and project cleanup and stabilization.
• The Surety’s Maintenance contractor, SMG, onsite this week addressing potholes at various locations in driveways and also began the exclusionary gopher tortoise fencing repairs.
• Survey layout for a gravity wall was completed in preparation for a utility company to begin adjusting their lines.
PROJECT T7433 - PASCO COUNTY
S.R. 52 Widening from Suncoast Parkway to U.S. 41 in Land O' Lakes (3.8 miles).
• The Surety received bids from prospective completion contractors on Thursday September 9th. The Surety issued Notice to Proceed to PCS Civil Inc. on October 25th. PCS Civil Inc. mobilized to the site that day. PCS has begun clearing the site and organizing the stockpiled materials. PCS anticipates beginning erosion control installation next week and continuing with general site clean up.
• Withlacoochee River Electric Company installed a temporary streetlight at nearest existing power pole to Quail Ridge Drive intersection.
PROJECT T7388 - PASCO COUNTY
S.R. 54 Widening from Curley Road to Morris Bridge Road in Zephyrhills (4.5 miles).
• Pending final selection of a “Completion Contractor.” The Surety received bids from 4 responsive contractors on 9/29/21. Western Surety is currently in discussions with bid contractors.
• Southern Precision will return to resume regular mowing and litter removal throughout the project.
• Maintenance contractor installed the flashing yellow beacon on the Westbound approach for Pine Crest Charter School sign and is awaiting programming. Pending fabrication and installation on the remaining flashing yellow beacon for the Eastbound approach.
PROJECT T7412 - PASCO COUNTY
The Diverging Diamond Interchange ("DDI") on S.R. 56 at I-75 in Wesley Chapel.
• No more weekly updates as construction has resumed.
PROJECT T7402 - HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY
C.R. 580 (Sam Allen Road) from S.R. 39 to Park Road in Plant City (2 miles).
