US 19 Widening from W. Green Acres St. to W. Jump Court, Homosassa, FL
The Surety is currently evaluating prices received from two potential completion contractors. The Takeover agreement still outstanding.
The Department’s representatives are sampling and tracking turbidity readings at Pond 4 outfall to off right-of-way in conjunction with T740 (7US 19 widening from W. Jump Court in Homosassa, FL to W. Fort Island Trail in Crystal River, FL). This week all the test results are meeting water quality requirements.

The Surety’s anticipates the Notice of Intent to the completion contractor to be issued next week.
The Department has made a significant number of improvements to address water quality on the project: The desilting treatment tank system at Pond C, installed by the Department’s Contamination and Remediation Contractor (CAR), is continuing to function, and clean water is being discharged.
SMG, the maintenance contractor, is continuing to maintain existing erosion control features and install new erosion control features.
SMG has scheduled a subcontractor to desilt the median ditch bottom inlets and pipes to aid in preventing further siltation at Pond C.
The Surety’s maintenance contractor, SMG has continued to regrade temporary median crossovers and driveways as necessary to remove potholes.
SMG’s striping subcontractor refreshed the white pavement markings in areas of the project where they had become faded.

US 19 Resurfacing from Hernando County Line to W. Green Acres St., Homosassa, FL
The Surety has received bids from 3 perspective completion contractors on 9/21/2021. Notice of Intent (NOI) expected to go out next week with a takeover agreement scheduled to go out the following week and possibly have subcontractor mobilize within the second week of November 2021.
The Surety’s maintenance contractor, SMG, is onsite working on maintenance items listed on the daily maintenance list sent to SMG.
Sinkhole between S. Oakridge Dr. and W Cyprian has northbound US 19 closed and traffic diverted onto southbound US 19, with one travel lane in each direction. Grouting operations were completed on 10/07/2021, and shallow restoration was completed on October 12, 2021, and the traffic diversion was removed and all travel lanes reopened in both directions.
