FHP seeking information regarding April 25, 2021, 9:20 pm fatal crash: CR 488, Dunnellon, FL
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are continuing to search for a witness, or anyone with information in regard to a traffic crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian, a 29 year-old Crystal River man. The crash occurred in Dunnellon, Florida on April 25, 2021 at 9:20 pm, on Citrus County Road 488 (W. Dunnellon Road) at N. Springvale Terrace.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck traveling east on CR 488 struck the pedestrian, who was lying on the roadway, and a sedan following behind the pickup truck, also struck the pedestrian and failed to stop or remain at the scene of the crash. The driver of the pickup truck has not been identified, as of Sept. 22, 2921.
The occupants of the pickup truck were described as the 35 year old male driver and his passengers: a 30 year-old woman, a 6 year-old boy and a 4 year-old girl, all from Morriston, Florida. None of the passengers was injured and each was wearing a seatbelt.
