Zephyrhills man dies as result of Sept. 11 single vehicle, Inverness, FL crash

A 52 year-old man from Zephyrhills, Florida lost his life as the result of a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred on Saturday evening, September 11, 2021 at the intersection of S. Florida Ave. (U.S. Hwy. 41) and E. Pemberton Path in Inverness, Florida. According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), about 6:30 pm, the man was driving a sport utility vehicle, traveling north on U.S. Hwy. 41, north of E. Pemberton Path, when for unknown reasons, lost control of the vehicle, which departed from the roadway and traveled onto the east shoulder and then collided with a metal fence. The press release stated that the driver, who was wearing a seat belt and did not carry a passenger, expired at the scene of the crash.
