Two-vehicle Lecanto crash send 3 of 4 passengers to hospital

According to the Citrus County Chronicle, a two-vehicle traffic crash occurred about 3:00 pm, Wednesday afternoon, July 22, at the intersection of W. Cardinal St. and S. Lecanto Hwy. (CR 491) in Lecanto, which resulted in three of the four passengers involved in the crash being transported to an area hospital by Nature Coast EMS. A Ford 150 truck traveling north on CR 491 failed to yield to a Ford SUV traveling south on CR 491, as it attempted to turn left onto W. Cardinal St., and the SUV struck the truck's passenger side, and the truck rolled onto its side. The roadway was closed for a time while the roadway was cleared.
