Crystal River man dead after being struck by two vehicles on CR 488 in Dunnellon, FL
Citrus County, Florida - A 29 year-old Crystal River man was struck by two vehicles and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of an incident that occurred on April 25 at 9:20 pm on Citrus County Road 488 (W. Dunnellon Road) at N. Springvale Terrace in Dunnellon, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling east on CR 488, west of N. Springvale Terrace, and struck the pedestrian who was lying on the roadway. A sedan following behind the pickup truck also struck the pedestrian and failed to stop or remain at the scene of the crash.
The occupants of the pickup truck were described as a 35 year old man, a 30 year-old woman, a 6 year-old boy and a 4 year-old girl, all from Morriston, Florida. None of the passengers were injured, and each was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the sedan had not been identified at the time of the press release.
