Crystal River man, lying in road, dies after being struck by two vehicles in Dunnellon
Citrus County, Florida - A 29 year-old man from Crystal River, Florida was struck by two vehicles and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash that occurred in Dunnellon, Florida on Sunday, April 25, at 9:20 pm.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on County Road 488 (N. Dunnellon Rd.), west of N. Springvale Terrace. A press release stated that the man killed in the crash was lying in the roadway, and was first struck by a pickup truck and then by a sedan. The report stated that the driver of the sedan failed to stop or remain in the area where the crash occurred.
The pickup truck was driven by a 35 year-old man of Morriston, FL who carried three passengers, all of Moriston, as well: a 30 year-old woman, a 6 year-old boy, and a 4 year-old girl. Each of the passengers inside the pickup truck was wearing a seatbelt, and no one was injuried.
