Dog "Beautiful" needs nurturing home; other dogs and cats available for adoption, as well

Beautiful is a 3 year-old mixed breed, medium sized female dog with a tan and white coat who is spayed and ready for adoption.
Sadly, Beautiful has had a rough start to life, and is now looking for a loving forever home to give her a fresh start and love. In May 2021, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Crystal River due to a report of animal neglect. Deputies found Beautiful ouside the home, with a severe wound to her left leg, with the bone exposed, infested with maggots.
Beautiful’s owner was arrested, and Citrus County Animal Control Officers rushed her to Citrus County Animal Services (CCAS) for immediate care. Despite the severity of her injuries, Beautiful has made a miraculous recovery and was able to keep her leg!
This happy-go-lucky girl refuses to let her emotional scars slow her down, although she can be shy when meeting new people. However, once she knows you, she loves BIG, and will serenade you with her amazing singing voice!
