Adopted dog, Haggie, settling in nicely in his forever home
Canine Hagrid, see photos above, received medical treatment from Citrus County Animal Services while waiting for his forever home. The following testimonial is from the person who adopted Hagrid from the Citrus County Animal Shelter, which can be reached by phone at (352) 746-8400.
THE LETTER:
"Hello Colleen, Dr. Milo and the ENTIRE staff!
Our hearts are overflowing with love & joy as we watch Hagrid heal, blossom and express himself. We have named him Merle Hagrid, aka Haggie. We have been delighted with his enthusiasm for his meals.
He is an EPIC sleeper ... ha ha. His snores are thunderous and yet joyfully rhythmic (a relief to my mama/nurse ears listening for sleep apnea lol).
He expresses his boundaries with the other pups, and definitely soaks up ALL the love, hugs and healing rubs. In addition to being an excellent snug bug, snort pig and sun seeker, he appears to have great compassion for my elderly mom (or she just drops a lot of tiny morsels).
His right ear drainage is drying up nicely. His eyes seem bright, and he is definitely animated! He gives paw and sits like a PRO if there is even a thought of something tasty.
The wipes under his nose folds definitely bring out the SNAPAGATOR, so I’ve decided to lull him into sleepyville and use a wet makeup pad to massage his face, then I sneak in a wipe. It’s not 100% easy breezy, but it’s getting the job done.
We simply cannot express our joy, gratitude and delight that Merle Hagrid has joined our clan."
