Christmas Homosassa Boat Parade

The annual Christmas Homosassa Boat Parade will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, after dusk, about 6:15 pm, on the Homosassa River. The parade will start at Bird Island and travel to the Marguerita Grill and back to Bird Island. Boaters who are interested in participating in the parade are welcome, and should meet at Bird Island and follow the the Santa lead boat. Anyone who would like to join is welcome. Spectators can watch at various locations along the Homosassa River, such as Seagrass Pub, Marguerita Grill or Crump's Landing on Halls River Rd., or Florida Cracker Monkey Bar or MacRae's of Homosasssa on S. Cherokee Way.
Crystal River Community Holiday Boat Parade

The 18th annual Crystal River Community Holiday Boat Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, beginning at 6:30 pm in King's Bay of the Crystal River in Crystal River, FL The theme is “A Vintage Christmas.” The parade will travel from Kings Bay to the Margarita Breeze at Point Paradise. Viewing locations include Cracker’s Tiki Bar, Dockside Ice Cream, The Crab Plant, Third Street Pier, Pete’s Pier, Three Sisters Bridge, King’s Bay Isle, Warden's Key, and the shallows. Contact Capt. Story Time with Santa in Inverness

Santa Claus will make two special visits to the Valerie Theatre, located at 207 Courthouse Square in Inverness, FL, on Saturday, Dec. 19, to read his favorite Christmas Story! He will be there to read at 10:00 am, and return at 11:45 am, to read again! There is no charge for this special event, but seating is limited, on a first-come, first-served basis.
