W.A.R. Member meeting, Nov. 16, 6:00 pm, at Inglis Community Center
We have some great news! Withlacoochee Aquatic Restoration will host a members meeting on Monday, November 16, 6:00-8:00 pm, at the Inglis Community Center located behind Inglis Town Hall on Hwy 40 W. This is shaping up to be very interesting.
There will be two speakers. Mr. Ed Hayes (FWCC) will speak on issues related to the challenges and options for enabling a draw down on Lake Rousseau. He has managed such affairs on the Rodman Reservoir and is knowledgeable on all fronts regarding this topic. Dr. Bob Knight (Wetland Solutions) will provide an update on the ongoing Lower River Environmental Assessment. We also anticipate an update from SWFWMD regarding development of the lower river minimum flows and levels rule.
The meeting format:
• Brief updates on the ongoing affairs related to W.A.R.
• Mr. Ed Hayes and Dr. Bob Knoghtâ¨
• Questions from the audience.
Doors open at 5:30 and the meeting is open to members and the public. Due to ongoing affairs related to COVID-19, seating capacity will be a maximum of 75 to accommodate social distancing. Bottled water and coffee will be provided.
We urge members who have not paid their dues to plan on renewing at the meeting. We will also have applications availble for those who would like to join. Be part of the solution to bring the Withlacoochee Rive back to the Outstanding Florida Water that it was....the life blood of Yankeetown and Inglis.
We look forward to seeing you there! Monday, Nov. 16, 2020 6-8 pm, Inglis Community Center
