Join the City of Inverness on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day for a family-friendly celebration in downtown Inverness. This daytime event will feature a Leprechaun Crawl and the Leprechaun and Fairy Costume Contests. To participate visit the City information booth located on the Valerie Plaza.
The Leprechaun Game Card
The Leprechaun Game Card starts at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. To participate, visit the City information booth on the Valerie Plaza to pick up a Leprechaun Game Card, at no charge. This game invites players to visit the downtown businesses listed on the card. The player must locate the leprechaun poster in the businesses and write down the name of the leprechaun on the game card. The player must complete the game card and return it to the city information booth before 5:00 p.m. Winners will be contacted by phone number listed on the submitted game card.
The Leprechaun & Fairy Costume Contests
The leprechaun and fairy costume contest start at 3:00 p.m. Register at the event 1:00-2:30 p.m. to participate in the contest. There are four categories in both costume contests, with each category limited to 10 participants:
(1) Baby and toddlers
(2) Children
(3) Teens and
(4) Adults.
The Inverness Mayor and City Council will award ribbons to the winners in each category.
