Citrus County, Florida - On July 21, 2025, 31 year-old Angel Alberto Seda Ways of Lecanto, Florida was sentenced to serve 19 years in the Florida Department of Corrections. Under Florida law, Seda Ways faced a minimum mandatory sentence of 15 years. Seda Ways' case was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Tara Hartman and Kevin Davis.

On June 5, 2025, jurors found Seda Ways guilty of all charges, which included trafficking in cocaine while in possession of a firearm, conspiracy to commit trafficking in cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In September 2022, after several months of investigation, detectives with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) put an end to a large-scale cocaine trafficking operation, operating from Lecanto, Florida. The agency was informed by federal partners that packages containing illicit narcotics were being mailed to a property located on South Kensington Avenue in Lecanto. Working with the United States Postal Service and the Department of Homeland Security, officials intercepted packages containing multiple kilos of cocaine that were being mailed to the address.

After conducting surveillance on the South Kensington Avenue, Lecanto property, CCSO narcotics investigators secured a search warrant for two separate addresses on a five-acre property located on South Kensington Avenue in Lecanto.

During the execution of the search warrant, officials located approximately 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) of cocaine, 6 firearms, a narcotics ledger, weight scales, drug packaging equipment, $7,951 in cash, and a money counter.

Two other people were arrested as a result of this investigation: 38 year-old Felix Abdiel Pintado Bernard, and 32 year-old Jennifer Medina Lozada, also from Lecanto.

Over the six-months duration of this investigation, a total of 8.98 kilograms (19.8 pounds) of cocaine was seized from this drug organization.
