Citrus County man, David Nemyier, indicted with first degree murder of father-in-law

Citrus County, Florida - At a news conference held in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers Room of the Citrus County Courthouse in Inverness, Florida on April 30, 2025, State Attorney Bill Gladson announced the grand jury indictment of 43-year-old David Nemyier on a murder charge.
A grand jury was convened to determine if there was sufficient evidence to charge Nemyier with the murder of his father-in-law, 67 year-old Kyle Pazain of Crystal River, Florida on April 9, 2025. Nemyier was accused of unlawfully committing the premeditated murder of Mr. Pazain. The grand jury returned a true bill of indictment for a charge of premeditated murder in the first degree with a firearm.
The facts of the case revealed, that shortly before 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office received a call about a deceased male located inside a residence on Cherrywood Ct. in Crystal River, Florida. Officers on scene identified the deceased male as Kyle Pazain.
On April 13, 2025, Nemyier was arrested and charged with murder. He remains in custody on a no-bond status at the Citrus County Detention Facility in Lecanto, Florida.
