CCSO begins rollout of deputies wearing body cameras while on duty

On May 20, 2025, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office announced on Facebook that several of the deputies with the agency are now officially equipped with body-worn cameras.

This marks the beginning of the agency's body camera rollout, "A key step toward greater transparency, accountability and  community trust," the agency posted on its Facebook page.

The agency plans to post more information on its Facebookk page soon, "About how these cameras work, what they capture, and why they matter."
