UPDATED:  Joseph Scott Dove, 45, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, April 24, 2025, charged with battery of a person 65 years of age or older ($30,000 bond),
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to Buddy's Lakeside Park, located at 10050 Highway 40 East in Inglis, due to a disturbance. A witness told deputies, that two workers were unloading materials they needed to install a fence to separate two of the lots, and when he heard yelling; he went to the location to find one worker on the ground and Dove standing over him.
The worker found on the ground (the victim, who is older than 65) told deputies, that Dove exited his camper, "yelling and acting crazy." The victim said that Dove attempted to take the tape measure from him and the other worker, and was standing in their way while they were trying to put out the fence posts. The victim said that Dove grabbed his battery-powered push mower, swung it around, and then threw it at them. He said that he and his co-worker attempted to ignore Dove and continued placing out the fence posts, and when he (the victim) got close to Dove, Dove pushed him, which caused him to fall to the ground, on his back, hitting his head. The second worker corroborated the victim's account of the incident.
Another witness told the deputy, that he was in his camper when he heard yelling, that he saw Dove swing the push mower around and throw it in the direction of the workers. He said the two workers were attempting to ignore Dove, but he kept standing in their way, and when the victim got close to Dove, Dove pushed him to the ground.
Dove told the deputy that he'd stood in the workers' way because he wanted them to stop building the fence. He said that the victim walked up to him with a post and hit his private parts with it, and he'd recorded the incident on video. The deputy reported that he watched the video, but although the victim got close to Dove, he did not see the worker hit Dove's private parts, as Dove had claimed. Upon questioning by the deputy, Dove admitted he'd pushed the victim's shoulder to get the worker away from him.

UPDATED:  Daniel Wilson Kelly, 75, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, April 26, 2025, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill ($10,000 bond).
At 10:10 am, the victim requested that deputies respond to her location because she was involved in an argument with her boyfriend (Kelly), and she was concerned because she'd stated her intent to leave the relationship.
While deputies were enroute to the location, the victim informed Levy County dispatch that Kelly had retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and fired it in the air. The dispatcher relayed to deputies that they (the dispatcher) had heard sounds consistent with gunfire. The woman also told dispatch that Kelly had entered the residence, still in possession of the firearm.
A deputy reported that she arrived at the location to see Kelly descending the front porch ramp, holding what appeared to be a dog bed, and uncertain as to the location of the firearm, the deputy drew her weapon and instructed Kelly to place the object he was holding on the ground. Kelly complied, but then reached to his waistband, so the deputy instructed Kelly to not reach for anything, and Kelly then stated to the deputy, "Is it illegal for me to shoot in my own yard?," according to the report. The deputy directed Kelly to elevate his shirt and turn completely around, and he complied. When the deputy saw no indication that Kelly was armed, she instructed Kelly to approach her, turn around, and position his hands on his head. Kelly again complied with the deputy. A pat down of Kelly by the deputy located no firearm. Kelly was taken into custody and placed into the rear seat of the patrol vehicle.
The victim told the deputy that she and Kelly had been arguing for two days about her leaving, and she'd contacted law enforcement because she was concerned about his potential actions. She said, that when he learned that she was speaking on a 911 call, Kelly had retrieved his firearm from his vehicle and fired rounds in the backyard.
Kelly confirmed that he and the victim had been arguing, and admitted that he'd retrieved his firearm from his vehicle and fired two rounds into a barrel located at the rear of his property, although he did not explain why he'd fired his weapon..
The deputy reported that three shell castings were located in the area where Mr. Kelly said he'd fired his weapon, which was about 20 to 30 feet away from the woman, and he'd discharged the firearm in a direction pointing away from the location of the woman.
The firearm was located inside the residence.

UPDATED:  Ronni Moreau, 32, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, April 21, 2025, charged with disorderly intoxication in a public place causing a disturbance (no bond).
About 8:35 pm, a deputy was dispatched to a Morriston, Florida residence due to a complaint of a physical disturbance. Deputies spoke with the people involved in the conflict, with the exception of Moreau, who climbed over a fence and began walking away from the deputy, although he made several requests for her to stop walking away. She eventually stopped along the fence line and agreed to
speak with the deputy.
The deputy reported that he detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Moreau, as she spoke, that she had difficulty maintaining her balance, and she several times fell into the electrified hot wire along the top of the fence, which were all indicators that she was under the influence of alcohol. After he completed the investigation, the deputy and Moreau agreed for her to be provided with transportation away from the area, and she was advised by the deputy to gather her belongings. Moreau retrieved a backpack and a duffle bag, which she brought to the fence at the front of the property. As she placed them on the ground, Moreau noticed that the across-the-street neighbor was standing at her fence line, and Moreau began shouting obscenities at her. The deputy ordered Moreau to stop yelling obscenities at the neighbor and to continue retrieving her possessions so she could take them with her when she was transported from the property. Moreau complied with the deputy. However, after she retrieved the rest of her property and unlocked the gate to exit the property, she once again became verbally confrontational, shouting obscenities at the neighbor. Again, the deputy ordered Moreau to stop. Moreau then walked across the street, yelling to the neighbor that she would physically hurt her. Again, the deputy ordered Moreau to stop, but she continued walking aggressively toward the woman while yelling obscenities at her. She got within ten feet of the woman when the deputy detained her.
The deputy reported that Moreau caused a public disturbance in the roadway, repeatedly making threats to the neighbor, while under the influence of alcohol.
