Sheriff Bobby McCallum terminates LCSO Finance Manager due to irregularities

On Monday, January 6, 2025, Levy County Sheriff Bobby McCallum terminated the employment of Christina “Nicole” Gore, the Levy County Sheriff’s Office Finance Director. Her termination occurred as the result of other sheriff's office personnel discovering irregularities in credit card statements and other agency funds. 

Ms. Gore had been employed in the agency's Finance Division since June of 2015. She was promoted to Finance Director on December 30, 2019.  

At Sheriff McCallum’s request, the Gainesville Regional Office of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement has begun a criminal investigation into this finding. 

"While Sheriff McCallum is very disappointed in what has occurred in this situation, he will not be able to provide any significant details until the conclusion of the FDLE criminal investigation," said LCSO Lieutenant Scott Tummond.
