Johnathan Jerome Davis, 39, of Fanning Springs, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, June 27, 2024, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs ($500 bond).

UPDATED: Dwayne Wesley Deedrick, 63, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), June 28, 2024, charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability ($250,000 bond).
       The arrest report stated that LCSO deputies were dispatched to a Bronson residence due to a report of an altercation involving a weapon. The caller stated that Deedrick had barricaded himself in a bathroom and refused to come out. Numerous deputies who arrived at the residence convinced Deedrick to exit the bathroom and go outside.
       Both parties involved in the altercation told deputies that a power cord from Deedrick's residence powered a camper on the property inhabited by the victim, and an argument had ensued between Deedrick and the victim after Deedrick had deliberately unplugged the power cord.
       According to Deedrick, the victim armed himself with a PVC pipe and entered Deedrick's residence and swung the pipe at Deedrick, who was armed with a machete he said he was about to use to cut items on the property. Deedrick told deputies that a laceration on his right arm had been caused by the PVC pipe, but deputies determined that the wound had been caused by a screw on the porch door, which had skin (flesh) visible on it.
       The victim, who had a three-inch-long cut to his right hand that was bleeding proufusely, told deputies he'd not swung the PVC pipe at Deedrick; he'd used it to block the machete when Deedrick swung it at him. He was treated on scene and transported by emergency medical services to a hospital for treatment of his injury.
       Deputies determined that the incident had occurred in the yard and porch area of the residence, due to the blood near the porch door and yard. The PVC pipe was located in the yard, covered in dirt. Deputies determined that Deedrick was the primary aggressor.

Corey Levon Gregg, 40, of Archer, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, June 27, 2024, on an out of county warrant (no bond).

Adam Grimes, 36, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, June 26, 2024, charged with aggravated child abuse ($500 bond).

Michael Havens, 48, of Sorrento, FL. was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, June 28, 2024, charged with grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000 ($30,000 bond).

Kenneth Paul Horne, 46, of Ocala, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, June 30, 2024, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs ($500 bond) and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription (no bond).

Shelby Jewelene Hughes, 27, of Ocala, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, June 28, 2024, on an out of county warrant ($500 bond).
