Ramon Santiago Azize, 67, of Clearwater, FL, was arrested by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, March 12, 2024, charged with reckless driving, first offense; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fleeing from or eluding law enforcement with disregard as to the safety of persons or property, failing to register a motor vehicle used on a roadway, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription ($71,000 bond).

Nicolas Baltazar-Diego, 37, of Albany, GA, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, March 17, 2024, charged with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license ($150 bond).

Kimberly Dawn Barba, 46, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), March 15, 2024, charged with first degree premeditated murder (no bond). According to a LCSO press release, at 4:21 pm on March 14, 2024, the LCSO 911 Center received a call reporting that a shooting had occurred at a residence located at 6650 NW 100 Avenue, southwest of Chiefland (Barba's residence). Deputies arrived at the residence to find a woman slumped over, inside a truck, deceased, and a second woman who had been shot in the elbow. The deceased woman was Barba's roommate, and the other woman was a relative of Barba's deceased roommate. The two women had been running errands and arrived at the residence to be approached by Barba, who displayed a firearm and made several statements before opening fire on her roommate, who was wounded and ran to the truck to seek cover. Barba then fired at the other woman, who had run in a different direction. After the second woman was shot, Barba directed her attention back to her roommate, who was now inside the truck, firing at her several more times before fleeing to the barn where she was later located by deputies and taken into custody.

Justin Ray Bryant, 35, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, March 17, 2024, charged with criminal mischief with damage to property of $200 or less ($150 bond) and trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance ($500 bond), then released on his own recognizance on both charges.

Brandon Michael Cardwell, 33, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, March 13, 2024, charged with withholding support of children or spouse ($900 cash bond).
