UPDATED: James Joshua Adams, 32, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, February 29, 2024, charged with battery (release on his own recognizance bond). The arrest report stated that the victim, who had red marks to her arm and fresh scratch marks to her wrist, told a deputy that Adams had grabbed an item from her, which had caused the scratch marks on her wrist. Adams was located at a different location and taken into custody.

UPDATED: Nicholas Tyler Hendricks, 20, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Marion County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, March 1, 2024 and incarcerated at the Levy County Detention Bureau in Bronson, FL, charged with lewd or lascivious behavior toward a 14 year-old victim ($250,000 bond). According to the Levy County Sheriff's Office, on February 25, 2024, Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) deputies found Hendricks "making out" with a 14 year-old girl in the back seat of a car at the Marion Couny Fair in Ocala, FL. MCSO deputies learned that the two had been romantically involved at a home in Chiefland, and the investigation was transferred to Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) detectives. During an intenrview, Hendricks told LCSO detectives that he'd been involved in a romantic relationship with the young girl for an undisclosed period of time.
