Two area residents charged with child pornography

Levy County Sheriff's Office detectives recently closed two long-term child pornography investigations with the arrests of two men.
During the investigations, detectives worked closely with numerous law enforcement agencies, which included the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
The investigations led to search warrants being issued to search the men's homes, during which both men were placed under arrest and transported to the Levy County Detention Bureau.
On October 17, 2023, 34 year-old Chuckey Lee Rogers of Chiefland, Florida was arrested at his home, charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography. His bond was set at $200,000. According to a LCSO press release, evidence collected during the arrest is being analyzed and additional charges are expected to be filed.
On July 26, 2023, 65 year-old Bruce Edwin Cannon of Trenton, Florida was arrested on numerous charges, which included sexual assault of a victim between the ages of 12 to 18 by a custodian, lewd or lascivious behavior toward a vicim between the ages of 12 to 18, and 4 counts of possession of child pornography. His bond was set at $2,500,000. Evidence seized during his arrest was further analyzed and addtional images of child pornography were found on his electronic devices. Additional, unspecified charges have been filed, according to a press release.
