Kordell Layne Davis Cope, 19, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 24, charged with battery, and tampering in a misdemeanor proceeding (no bond). The victim told a deputy that she got ino an argument with Cope, during which he pushed her against a metal livestock panel, tripped her - forcing her to the ground, then took her cell phone. She said they went inside, and he pushed her again and refused to give her cell phone back to her, so that she was unable to call for help. Both incidents were witnessed by a a third person who was not involved in the altercation. Marks on the victim's back and disarray within the residence were consistent with the victim's account of the incident.
Jimmie Donald, 21, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 24, charged with battery (no bond).
Hugo Benito Gonzalez, 60, of Yankeetown, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 21, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (release on his own recognizance bond), and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($1,000 bond). About 11:34 pm, due to a previous call for service, a deputy was inside his parked patrol vehicle at the Shell gas station, located at 19 U.S. Hwy. 19 South in Inglis, FL, when he was approached by Gonzalez, who was concerned about the safety of a woman he said he'd gotten into an argument with and had dropped off, at her request, at the Inglis Food Mart (located at 650 County Road 40 in Inglis). The deputy reported that Gonzalez smelled of alcohol, admitted he'd consumed one beer, and his speech was slurred. The report stated that Gonzalez refused to submit to sobriety testing and laid down on the ground when asked to get inside the patrol vehicle, and he refused to get up from the ground, several times when asked, forcing the deputy to lift him off the ground and place him into the patrol vehicle. The report stated, that 90 minutes after his arrest, Glonzalez's breath alcohol level was measured at 0.037 and 0.031 (the legal limit is 0.08). The report stated that deputies located Gonzales's friend and drove her to her residence.
Darrin Grisham, 45, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 23, charged with battery (no bond).
Michael Gabriel Hernandez, 42, of Bronson, FL was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 19, charged with possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted Florida felon ($75,000 bond).
David Jerome Lemon, 56, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 18, charged with driving while license suspended, first offense; possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana less than 20 grams ($4,500 bond). The arrest report stated, that a short time before 11:37 am, a deputy on patrol in the parking lot of the Food Ranch Supermarket, located at 40 U.S. Hwy. 19 in Inglis, Florida, was approached by a citizen who was concerned because he'd seen a silver Chrysler minivan - parked in the median near the location of the former Florida Highway Patrol station, north of Inglis - where a woman was running around, naked from the waist down. As the deputy was preparing to exit the parking lot, he observed the vehicle and people described by the citizen. The minivan pulled into the parking lot of the Circle K gas station, located at 4 U.S. Hwy. 19 in Inglis, a short distance away. The deputy reported that it appeared that the two occupants, a man and a woman, were arguing, as he approached the vehicle. The deputy reported that the woman had abrasions to her left forearm, and she had no clothing covering the area from her waist to her knees, because her pants were pulled down to the top of her knees. The woman told the deputy that her arm had been injured when Lemon dragged her out of her vehicle, but she did not want to pursue charges against him. The report stated that Lemon's driver's license had been suspended on Oct. 12, 2021 for failure to pay traffic fines, and canceled indefinitely on July 19, 2023. Lemon was found to be in possession of 10.6 grams of marijuana and 0.6 gram of crack cocaine.

Michael Miller, 62, of Williston, FL, was arrested by an unspecified agency, Aug. 24, and booked into the Levy County Detention Bureau, Sept. 22, charged with a sex offender violation: failing to register as required ($50,000 bond).
Buddy Allen Morris, 38, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by a probation officer, Sept. 20, on an out of county warrant (no bond).

Danielle Ambrose Tyrrel, 29, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Marion County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, Sept. 22, charged with probation violation (no bond).
Brittany Noel Velong, 38, of New Port Richey, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Sept. 23, charged with battery ($2,500 bond). The arrest report stated that a deputy was dispatched to the Dollar General store, located at 95 U.S. Hwy. 19 South in Inglis, Florida, due to a store employee reporting a physical disturbance inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The deputy reported that he found two people in the vehicle described by the complainant. The man had lacerations and scratches to his arms and the left side of his face that were bleeding; he told the deputy that Velong had injured him during an argument they had while inside the vehicle. The woman - Ms. Velong - had blood on her hands she claimed were from a nosebleed she'd had earlier. However, the store clerk told the deputy that she'd witnessed Velong inflicting the injuries on the male victim.
