A 17 year-old Wauchula, FL youth was charged with felony battery of a law enforcemente officer, firefighter, emergency medical services provider or public transit employee, etc. ($5,000 bond).
Heather June Van Dyke, 45, of Inverness, FL, was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery (no bond).
Cameron Russell Stanhope, 46, of Floral City, FL, was taken into custody by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) after a more than two hour standoff with deputies, Monday morning, Aug. 15, at a S. Brookwood Ter., Floral City residence. Deputies arrived at the residence to arrest Stanhope on an Ohio arrest warrant. According to the CCSO, when deputies arrived at the home, Stanhope, who was the only person inside the residence, retrieved a firearm and barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies set up a perimeter around the area and evacuated neighboring residences as a safety precaution. During the standoff, the agency's Crisis Negotiation Team was successful in taking Mr. Stanhope into custody without anyone being injured. Stanhope was arrested on the warrant, charged with fraud by illegal use of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information, and theft from a person 65 years of age or older in the amount of $300 or more but less than $10,000 ($6,000 bond). He was additionally charged with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and resisting an officer without violence (no bond).

Christopher Behrens-Hoskins, 39, of Dunnellon, FL, was charged with two counts of violation of felony probation or community control (no bond) and driving while license suspended or revoked as an habitual traffic offender ($5,000 bond).
UPDATED: Chelsea Marie Ledrew, 29, of Inglis, FL, was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery (no bond). Deputies responded to a commercial property, located at 4301 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy. (SR 44) in Crystal River, FL, in regard to a reported battery. Deputies arrived on scene to find the victim walking away from his vehicle, and Ms. Ledrew siting in the passenger side of the vehicle. The arrest report stated that the victim told deputies that Ms. Ledrow "went crazy" and started hitting him while he was driving, so he pulled his vehicle off of the roadway. Ms. Ledrew told deputies that she did not remember what had happened, but as the victim had "a bloody hand and scratches on the right side of his face," according to the report, Ms. Ledrew was arrested as the primary aggressor.

UPDATED: Johnnie Russell Arnett, 38, of Inglis, FL, was charged with retail petit theft of an item valued at $100 or less ($1,000 bond). According to the arrest report, an employee of the RaceTrac gas station, located at 3861 S. Suncoast Blvd. (US 19) in Crystal River, FL, told a deputy that Mr. Arnett was loitering in front of the business, and when he asked him to leave the area, they got into a verbal altercation, after which Mr. Arnett allegedly went inside the store, obtained a four-pack of Natural Ice beer and exited the store, passing all points of sale without paying for the beer. Deputies located a man who matched the suspect's description - who was not Mr. Arnett - who was in possession of a single Natural Ice beer. The man told deputies, that when he was walking past the store, the suspect (Arnett) had given him the beer, so the man was released, as he was not the suspect. Mr. Arnett was then placed under arrest, identified by the store clerk as the suspect who had taken the beer wihout paying for it.

UPDATED: Betty Jane Nava, 62, of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with three counts of animal cruelty ($6,000 bond). Around 9:22 am (Aug. 18), a deputy arrived at Ms. Nava's residence, due to a complaint of animal cruelty, and found three cats inside an outside shed without food or water. Two of the cats were wet and smelled strongly of urine. A witness told deputies that the two wet cats had been zipped up in a bag, and he'd unzipped them and let them out. Deputies located a zippered bag inside the shed that also smelled strongly of urine. Ms. Nava initially told the deputy that there was one cat inside the shed, but the deputy found three cats. according to the report, and she later admitted that she'd placed the cats in the shed without food or water and zipped up two of the cats inside the bag, about 4:00 pm the previous day (Aug. 17).

UPDATED: Allen Michael Watson, 65, of Inverness, FL, was charged with resisting an officer without violence, battery of a law enforcement officer, refusing to submit to testing after a previous driver's license suspension for refusal to submit to testing, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc. ($8,500 bond). According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of E. Christopher Ln. and N. Rooks Ave. in Inverness, due to complaints that a man, who appeared to be incapicitated (who was later identified as Watson), was in the driver's seat of a white Dodge pickup truck that was stopped in the northbound lane of N. Rooks Ave., impeding traffic. The report stated that Watson appeared to be asleep, with his foot on the brake and the gear shift in the "Drive" position. Watson was roused by deputies knocking on his windows, giving him commands to unlock the door, place the gear shift into "Park" and turn off the ignition. A deputy reported that Watson was disoriented, exhibiting signs of impairment, and he became very irate with deputies, refusing to submit to testing of any kind. The report stated that Watson struck a deputy's hand, with a closed fist, while he was being taken into custody, and also that his driver's license had been suspended on April 18, 1990 for refusing to submit to testing.
