A father and son were arrested as the result of a shooting that occurred on July 21, 2022, at the Marathon store and gas station located at 5250 NE 140 Court in Williston, Florida. According to the Levy County Sheriff's Office, the two got into a verbal dispute with the two victims, as to who had the right of way at the gas pumps. The duo left in a silver Lexus passenger car and returned a short time later, both armed with firearms, and they both allegedly fired several rounds at the two victims who were not injured. The father is Luis Antonio Perez-Carraquillo, 42, and the son is Luis Antonio Perez-Franco, 21, both of Leesburg, FL. Both were arrested by an unspecified agency, the son on July 21, and the father on July 29. Both were booked into the Levy County Detention Bureau on August 4, 2022, each charged with first degree premeditated murder, with their bonds set at $500,000 each.
