Eight arrested at Williston, FL known drug house

Levy County, Florida - On Thursday, May 13, a search warrant was executed by members of the Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Drug Task Force and Tactical Response Unit, along wih detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division, at a residence located at 91 NE 131st Terrace in Williston, Florida, during which eight of the thirteen persons inside the doublewide mobile home were arrested. 

According to Levy County Undersheriff Brett Beauchamp, Levy County deputies are well familiar with the location, as this was the third narcotics search warrant that has been executed at this residence in less than a year, multiple drug overdoses have occurred at the residence, and two drug-related deaths have also occurred at his residence.

Once again, detectives found drugs, which included heroin, methamphetamine and prescription pills, along with significant amounts of drug paraphernalia, inside the residence. 

The following people were arrested:

•Derek Kyle Abrams, 37, of Dunnellon, FL, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia ($85,000 bond. He was also arrested on a Marion County, FL warrant for violation of probation (probation for possession of methamphetamine), with his bond set at none.

•Daniel D. Ackley, 30, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested on a Marion County, FL capias for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license ($5,000 bond). 

•Michael J. Harvey, 51, the owner of the property, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug dwelling, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($100,000 bond).

•Jacqueline Marie Holden, 53, of Williston, FL, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia ($75,000 bond).

•Stephen Clark Mimbs, 61, of Gainesville, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia ($35,000 bond).

•David Wayne Morris, 56, of Williston, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($75,000 bond).

•Brittney Nicole Rosensweet, 31, of Williston, FL, was charged with possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Detention officers discovered narcotics on her person when she entered the Levy County Detention Bureau, and she was additionally charged with smuggling contraband into a detention facility ($125,000 total bond).

•Stephen J. Weintraut, 36, of Anthony, FL, was charged with possession of multiple items of drug paraphernalia ($25,000 bond). Some of the paraphernalia was located in a pair of pants. According to the press release, Weintraut told deputies, “I was wearing the pants, but they’re not mine.” 

"Unfortunately, this case demonstrates the problems that illegal drugs and repeat offenders continue to cause in our communities," said Levy County Sheriff Bobby McCallum. "This one location has caused thousands of dollars to be spent for investigative and court costs. It is a tremendous drain on taxpayer resources, and the loss of human life is a real tragedy."
