According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), 7,234 cases of Martinelli's apple juice, by the S. Martinelli & Company, are subject to recall due to potential mold contamination. The company is located at 735 W Beach St. in Watsonville, California 95076-5141.

A single lot of 10-ounce glass bottles of Martinelli’s Apple Juice, sold in four-packs, may contain elevated levels of patulin, a naturally occurring mycotoxin produced by mold and fungus that may be present in apples. Long-term exposure to patulin can cause nausea, gastrointestinal issues, vomiting, and other side effects.

S. Martinelli & Company issued the voluntary recall on March 18, 2025, and the FDA posted the Class II classification notice on April 22, 2025. A Class II recall is the second most severe type of recall, indicating that the product may cause "temporary" or "reversible" health consequences.
