Fire extinguished to vacant double wide mobile home in Hernando, FL

Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR)
Citrus County, Florida - At 7:59 pm on Sunday, February 21, Citrus County Fire Rescue was dispatched to N. Tumbleweed Trail in Hernando, Florida due to a report of a mobile home fire. The Engine 5 crew from the Hernando Fire Station arrived first on scene, at 8:05 pm, to find a double wide mobile home with fire showing through a bedroom window. Firefighters quickly deployed a preconnected fire hose and made entry through an open side door. The fire was knocked down and contained to the room of origin. The fire was called under control at 8:18 pm. Searches determined that no one was inside the home, which was found to be vacant with no power connected to the residence. Crews cleared the scene at 9:32 pm. No injuries were reported.
