Citrus County Fire Rescue
Citrus County, Florida - Citrus County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a W. Homosassa Trail, Homosassa residence with the report of a shed fire with a possible occupant inside the shed, at 9:58 pm on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
The Engine 3 crew from the Homosassa Fire Station, along with and Battalion Chief 2, arrived first on scene at 10:05 pm to find an approximately 300 square foot wood frame detached shed fully involved in fire. The fire was etinguished, and searches determined that no occupants were inside the shed. No injuries were reported.
The fire was called under control at 10:11 pm, and crews cleared the scene at 12:10 am. The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office arrived on scene to investigate the fire
Other fire stations and personnel that assisted with the fire included Rescue 7 from Connell Heights, Engine 23 from Kensington, and Tanker 5 from Hernando.
