Floral City, Florida – At 6:11 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, Citrus County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a residence located on E. Salmon Drive in Floral City due to a report of a large house fire.

Fire crews arrived at the location to find the home approximately 75% involved in fire. Firefighters quickly began working to get the flames under control, attacking the fire from outside. Additional crews from other fire stations brought in water and provided support operations

Once a reliable water supply was in place, firefighters entered the home to stop the fire that had spread into the attic. Additional crews worked from the sides of the home to prevent the fire from reaching nearby properties. As conditions worsened, crews safely exited the home and continued to fight the fire from the outside until it was under control. Firefighters remained on scene until 11:37 p.m. to ensure that all hot spots had been extinguished and the scene was safe.

No injuries were reported, and all occupants safely evacuated the home.

The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
