Beverly Hills, Florida – At 12:52 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR) responded to a residence located on W. Catbrier Lane in Beverly Hills due to a reported fire.

Fire crews arrived at the single-story residence, within seven minutes, to find smoke showing from the home. Initial reports indicated that a possible kitchen fire had already been 80% extinguished. Searches by crews confirmed that no one remained inside the home. Firefighters worked to rapidly extinguish hot spots, clear debris, and ventilate the structure to remove residual smoke. The fire was declared under control within minutes of entry, with no injuries reported to the home's residents, neighbors, or fire rescue personnel.

Fire damages were centered in the living and dining room areas, with heat and smoke damage extending throughout the home. There was no fire extension into the attic space.

After the fire was extinguished, Citrus County Fire Rescue personnel remained on scene to assist with securing the property and coordinating with partner agencies.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
