Yankeetown Marina damaged by fire caused by lightning strike

The Yankeetown Marina, located at 15 Hickory Ave. in Yankeetown, Florida on the Withlacoochee River, was damaged by fire that caused considerable damage insde the building on Monday, July 24, 2023, as the result of a lightning strike. The fire was brought under control by firefighters from Levy and Citrus counties. No injuries were reported, and the fire was exrtinguished before it reached the marina's fuel tank.
