Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR)
Dunnellon, Florida - On Saturday night, March 25, 2023, at 10:24 pm, Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to N. Percale Terrace in Dunnellon, due to the report of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a single wide mobile home fully involved with fire, and a small workshop partially involved with fire. Powerlines were down on one side of the home, and for safety, they were marked with fire tape and cones. The power company responded to the scene to secure the power.
A defensive attack was established. The main residence was found to be vacant, with no occupants or furniture inside. No one was found inside the workshop, and an unoccupied travel trailer at the rear of the property was not damaged by fire.
The fire was brought under control at 10:47 pm, and the last unit cleared the scene at 1:06 am. The Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire. The residence was a total loss, and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters from the Connell Heights, DeRosa, Pine Ridge, Kensington, Highlands, and Citrus Springs fire stations responded to the fire, along with the Rehab Unit from Citrus Springs.
