Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR)
Hernando, Florida - Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to N. Shorewood Dr. in Hernando, FL at 8:31 am, Tuesday, February 9, 2022, due to the report of a fire. Firefighters arrived at the residence to find an approximately 1,000 square foot vacant mobile home fully involved in flames.
Firefighters initiated defensive actions. The fire was under control at 8:54 am, and the last unit cleared the scene at 10:39 am. The structure was a total loss. Searches revealed that the structure was vacant. No injuries were reported. The power company arrived on scene to disconnect the power.
Firefighters from the Kensington, Hernando, Highlands, Citrus Springs, Pine Ridge and Connell Heights fire stations responded to the fire, along with a Safety Captain and the Rehab Unit from the Citrus Springs Fire Station.
