Fire causes damages of $40K to Homosassa home and car

Citrus County Fire Rescue (CCFR)

Homosassa, Florida - Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to the report of a fire at W. Robin Ln., Homosassa residence on Sunday, July 11, about 12:30 am, and firefighters arrived on scene to find a home involved with heavy fire, involving a vehicle and extending from the carport into the home. Firefighters conducted an offensive attack to combat the flames, and learned that the home was unoccupied. The fire was deemed tp be under control at 12:40 am. Damages were estimated at $40,000. The power company responded to secure the power, and the Florida State Fire Marshal’s office responded to investigate the fire, and the scene was turned over to the agency. No injuries were reported.
 
Fire stations that responded to the fire included Homosassa, Connell Heights, Kensington and the Rehab Unit from the Citrus Springs.
