Irrigation
Schedule irrigation for one day per week, according to schedule below. If you need training on your irrigation system or how to adjust the controller, call 352-527-7669. Irrigaion needs during August through November: One scheduled irrigation of 1/2” to 3/4” each week. 3/4” of irrigation is about 45 minutes per rotor head zone and 20 minutes per spray head zone.
Per restrictions, allowable watering is limited to one day per week, either before 10:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m. (not both), as follows:

2 or 3 - Tuesday
4 or 5 - Wednesday
6 or 7 - Thursday
8 or 9 and locations with a mix of addresses or no address - Friday

Citrus County Housing Services is now offering the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP). The LIHWAP is available through September 30, 2023, to help eligible families and individuals pay their water utility service bills. Eligible households may receive up to $1,000 paid directly to their water service provider. August - What to do in the Landscape and Garden
Annuals/Bedding Plants:
The hottest days of summer limit planting now to heat-tolerant vinca, gaillardia, bulbine, and coleus. See Annuals: https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/MG319.
Vegetables:

Herbs:
