Hogfish recreational season closes Nov. 1 in the Florida Keys and Atlantic coast

Hogfish recreational harvest will close, Nov. 1, 2020, in state and federal waters off the east coast of Florida in the Atlantic Ocean and also the Gulf of Mexico in the Florida Keys, south of Cape Sable (see pink area on map).

Recreational harvest remains open in state and federal waters north of Cape Sable in the Gulf.

The Keys/east Florida hogfish season runs from May 1 through Oct. 31.
