Levy County Sheriff Bobby McCallum, in consultation with the Levy County Parks and Recreation Department, has determined that water levels along the Suwannee River have sufficiently receded to allow three boat ramps to reopen that had been closed, due to the high water levels, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. The reopened boats ramps are:
• Clay Landing Public Boat Ramp
11850 NW 130th Street
Chiefland, Florida 32626
• Camp Azalea Public Boat Ramp
4591 NW County Road 347
Chiefland, Florida 32626
• Fowlers Bluff Public Boat Ramp
15253 NW 46th Lane
Chiefland, Florida 32626
Boaters navigating along this waterway are cautioned to maintain safe speeds, as floating debris will continue to cause navigation hazards.
Have a safe weekend and happy boating!
