Flounder recreational harvest season to close Oct. 15

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)

The recreational harvest of flounder in all Florida state and federal waters will close October 15, 2023 and remain closed through November 30, 2023 - reopening to harvest on December 1, 2023. 

This closed season provides protection to flounder during pre-spawning aggregations, which ensures more fish can reproduce each year.
