On Sept. 1, 2023, the recreational harvest of blueline tilefish will close in state waters of the Atlantic Ocean in Florida - including all state waters of Monroe County, Florida - with the last day of harvest being Aug. 31, 2023.
This closure is consistent with the closure of blueline tilefish in adjacent federal waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Recreational harvest will reopen on May 1, 2024, in state and federal waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
