Spotted seatrout season reopens Jan. 1, Central East Management Region
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)
Spotted seatrout will reopen to recreational harvest Jan. 1, 2023 in the spotted seatrout Central East Management Region, which includes all state and federal waters from Palm Beach through Volusia counties in Florida (see map).
Spotted seatrout are one of Florida’s most popular inshore fisheries. This closed season was re-established for the Central East Region to benefit spotted seatrout during winter months when they are particularly vulnerable to colder temperatures.
